Job Title:  Commercial Locksmith Technician
Reports To: General Manager or Franchise Owner

Key Areas of Responsibility:    
The Locksmith Technician position is a technical hands-on position in the field. It is a very important position for the growth of the company. The technician drives company vans to commercial client sites like schools, churches, manufacturing etc to diagose problems and service locks, doors, door hardware, keys. They service and install new locking hardware, smart locks, door closers, panic devices, doors and frames.  They are constantly learning new technology solutions in the security industry and help clients every day. 

 The responsibilities of a FlyLock Security Solutions Locksmith consist of the following:
  • 3+ years experience in commercial locksmithing working on commercial buildings. 
  • Install, service, maintain, repair, replace doors, frames, locks, keys, door hardware, door closers, panic devices, smart locks and more.
  • Cut keys to code, duplicate keys, rekey locks, SFIC cores
  • Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks.
  • Repair doors, panic devices, door closers. 
  • Install door frames and doors.
  • Use smart phone app and computer software to check in and collect payments from clients.
  • Install, repair, and maintain Commercial door and locking hardware.
  • Install, repair, and maintain Access Control Hardware
  • Modify hardware for locks.
  • Create and maintain master key systems.
  • Install cameras and access controls hardware
 Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in technical hands-on field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Fast learner
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to work safely on ladders.
  • Ability to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy.
  • Provide a high level of timely & accurate customer service.
  • Communicates effectively with the client to determine what services are needed.
  • Respond to general inquiries from customers/clients.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs-100 lbs. 
  • Able to drive company vehicles 
  • Able to complete application process 
  • Ability to kneel, crouch and stoop.
  • Ability to reach above and below the shoulders.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist, and pull.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work above ground.
  • Withstand external weather conditions year-round.

 
Compensation: $49,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year
